Woman sends 10 year old daughter to serve his Pastor Tea in Kisii only for the pastor to twatwa the child

The authorities in Kisii town are currently on the lookout for a pastor associated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) church. The pastor is accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old fourth-grade student in the Kiogoro area of Nyaribari Chache constituency on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

The alleged incident took place when the child, entrusted with delivering breakfast prepared by her mother, visited Pastor Duke Morang’a of Nyabonda PAG. The pastor, who resides within the church premises, is accused of sexually assaulting the young girl.

According to a police report, Kwamboka (a pseudonym), a resident of Riang’ombenene village, Amariba Ward, reported that she had sent her daughter to deliver breakfast to Pastor Duke Morang’a around 7:30 in the morning. Upon reaching the church, the pastor directed the child to his residence within the church premises. It is alleged that he undressed her and proceeded to sexually assault her.

Following the incident, the pastor purportedly used a towel to wipe the child’s thighs, gave her a Sh5 coin, and allowed her to leave. Upon returning home, the victim recounted her traumatic experience to her mother, who promptly reported the matter to the Kiogoro police station. This led to an immediate investigation by the officers.

Despite a swift response, when the police arrived at the pastor’s residence, he was nowhere to be found, having reportedly fled to an undisclosed location. Kisii County Police Commander Charles Kases assured in a phone interview with Taifa Leo Digital that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.

The victim received medical attention at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, where she underwent examinations. During the investigation, the police discovered a towel believed to have been used during the assault and a thermos containing prepared tea in a one-liter container at the pastor’s residence.
