Ali Kauleni bounces back with new radio job days after quitting Radio Maisha

Accomplished journalist Ali Kauleni Hassan has landed a new job just days after announcing his resignation from Radio Maisha, where he had worked for over 13 years. Kauleni has joined Radio 47, a new station that is set to launch soon, and will be serving as the Sports Editor, commentator, and Swahili Education Show host on Saturdays during the morning hours.

Kauleni established himself as one of the finest Swahili journalists and hosted the Nuru Ya Lugha program, which promotes the Swahili language and gives it prominence. He ran his final show at Radio Maisha on February 18th and promised to be back soon. He clarified that he had not been fired from the media house when he hosted his final show.

Kauleni expressed mixed feelings about leaving Radio Maisha after almost 13 years of steering the Nuru Ya Lugha segment. Meanwhile, Radio Maisha has unveiled a new lineup of star-studded journalists, including Nzula Makosi, former presenter at Switch TV and MediaMax, Solomon Zully and Kassim Mbui, former Radio Kaya duo, and Anthony Ndiema.
