Man Slashed To Death, Another Injured In Fight Over Aviator Lottery Game in Nakuru

Grief descended upon Kapsita Kamondo village in Molo, Nakuru County following a tragic turn of events during a lottery game on Sunday. A 22-year-old man was fatally slashed on the neck, while a 24-year-old youth is currently battling for his life at Elburgon Hospital due to severe injuries sustained during the altercation.

The confrontation erupted when the victims and a suspect, who fled the scene, became embroiled in a dispute over the outcome of the lottery game.

Vincent Ngetich, an elder from Kamondo village, together with Geoffrey Bett and Robert Biwott, expressed their distress over the escalating prevalence of gambling among youths, often exacerbated by excessive alcohol consumption and drug use.

In a plea to the government, the elders urged for the relocation of law enforcement officers to the area and called for an end to lottery games.

When reached for comment, Kapsita locational chief Alex Gichane acknowledged the incident, promising to furnish a comprehensive report in due course.

As of now, the suspect remains at large, with no arrests made in connection with the incident.
