Lovers of the Kikuyu secular music have been left in awe after the wife to the late George WaNjaro, Maureen Atieno shed the truth on what transpired that caused the death of her husband, who was also a high school teacher.
From her confession, Maureen was the late Wanjaro’s student in high school and at one time, he offered to pay her school fees since her parents were struggling to get her fees.
After Maureen completed her secondary school education, Wanjaro took her as a wife. At this time, Maureen did a course in beauty and after completing it, her husband helped her erect a salon.
Later, her husband was transferred to Gaichanjiru High School in Muranga County, where they relocated to.
Unfortunately, her husband died, after which she felt rejected by the family. She therefore opted out of the family, and went to Nairobi where she has been living to-date.
When asked on what ailed her husband, Maureen revealed that Wanjaro suffered from Malaria, since he was complaining of severe headache which lasted for six days.
