DCI on the spot for arresting the wrong woman after raiding an infamous drug den in Ngara

In an unexpected twist of events, recent disclosures indicate that Teresia Wanjiku, the woman apprehended during a high-profile drug den operation in Ngara, might be unjustly accused of the charges brought against her.

Through the investigative efforts of NTV, a potentially grave mistake by the Anti-Narcotics unit has come to light, suggesting that they may have arrested the wrong person during their early morning raid.

This startling revelation has introduced uncertainty about the accuracy of the initial operation and has prompted questions about the thoroughness of the inquiry.

Presenting a compelling narrative, Teresia Wanjiku’s daughter, Sheila Waithera, has stepped forward to lend weight to the notion of mistaken identity.

Waithera recounted that upon her return home, she was taken aback upon learning from a friend that her mother had been apprehended on suspicion of drug trafficking.

“I informed the officers that they had apprehended the wrong individual since I had left my mother cooking at her hotel less than an hour ago,” she expressed.

Echoing this sentiment, Teresia’s son is also firm in his belief of his mother’s innocence.

“The person they are seeking is widely recognized.

“They even arrested her last year but subsequently released her.

“They are familiar with her appearance. Her skin tone, body structure, and overall complexion differ significantly from that of my mother.

“They should release her,” he insisted.

This disclosure motivated Waithera to delve deeper into the unfolding circumstances, and her subsequent findings have contributed to a mounting chorus of skepticism surrounding her mother’s alleged involvement.

The incident has incited discussions about the meticulousness requisite in law enforcement protocols, especially in instances involving serious criminal accusations.
