Born in Kenya’s central region in the 1980s, Wambui experienced the tragic loss of her parents at the tender age of sixteen. Instead of allowing her circumstances to define her, she chose to rise above them.
Despite limited resources, Wambui pursued her education and excelled in high school. Unfortunately, financial constraints hindered her pursuit of further studies, prompting her to explore alternative paths to success.
Charting a New Course
Driven by a determination to carve out a better life for herself, Wambui secured a receptionist job with the assistance of a compassionate relative. However, she soon realized that she aspired to more than just a conventional job. Inspired by her entrepreneurial aunt, Wambui made the bold decision to resign from her job and delve into the world of business, recognizing it as the key to unlocking a brighter future.
The Emergence of Cheriez Properties Limited
After careful consideration, Wambui opted to venture into the wines and spirits business. Her persistence and hard work paid off as the business flourished, providing her with the means to expand her operations.
Fueled by her entrepreneurial spirit, Wambui seized an opportunity to acquire five acres of land in Kitengela, marking a pivotal moment in her journey. This acquisition laid the foundation for Cheriez Properties Limited, her real estate company that would eventually lead her to immense success.
Navigating Challenges
Wambui’s ascent in the real estate industry was not without its obstacles. The process of acquiring land posed a significant challenge, demanding resourcefulness and tenacity.
In a candid interview, Wambui revealed that her initial projects encountered setbacks in 2016 when struggles arose in finding occupants for the houses. Undeterred, she refused to be disheartened and sought alternative strategies to attract buyers.
