Kenyan socialite and reality TV personality Vera Sidika found herself defending her actions recently when her baby daddy, Kenyan musician Brown Mauzo, failed to attend their daughter Asia’s second birthday party. After sharing photos of the lavish celebration on social media, Vera faced criticism from fans who accused her of selfishness for excluding Brown Mauzo from the festivities.
Frustrated by the accusations, the mother of two expressed her exasperation, saying, “I am weary of constantly having to address this issue about Asia’s father on my social media. You all are unaware of the behind-the-scenes details.”
Vera disclosed that she had indeed invited Mauzo to the birthday party, but he declined the invitation, deeming it an unsuitable idea. She emphasized that Brown Mauzo is an adult, and she couldn’t compel him to attend against his wishes.
“I extended an invitation to him for our daughter’s birthday to make it a memorable occasion for her special day. I believe they should have their moments together. However, he chose not to attend and expressed that it wouldn’t be a good idea to be present at the celebration. How can any of this be my fault? Must I use a crane to force him to attend his daughter’s birthday? Absolutely not.”
Vera asserted her weariness of being portrayed as the villain in the situation, emphasizing that she had made sacrifices to be with her daughter on her special day. She and Brown Mauzo had previously clashed when he revealed their son’s face without her consent.
“I exhibited the larger perspective by inviting him to Asia’s birthday. Many individuals might not have extended the same courtesy. My primary concern is the happiness of my children. Yet, you cannot compel someone to understand. A birthday is not just any day; it is a unique occasion to celebrate your child. I would never miss it for anything in the world. I hastened my return from America to ensure I didn’t miss my daughter’s birthday. However, not everyone comprehends its significance,” Vera expressed.
