Njoroge of Papa Shirandula Rise From a Sweets Hawker, to A Millionaire Owning  Lands and Rentals in Nairobi

Kenneth Gichoya, renowned as Njoroge from the popular TV show Papa Shirandula, stands out as one of the legendary actors with astute investment skills. Njoroge’s journey to success is a remarkable transformation from being a humble sweets hawker to a celebrated actor and ultimately becoming a millionaire with substantial real estate holdings.

Njoroge’s upbringing took place in various neighborhoods in Nairobi, and after completing his primary education, he enrolled at Baricho Boys. Demonstrating his acting prowess, Njoroge excelled and achieved provincial-level recognition, earning several accolades during his high school years.

Beyond his acting career, Njoroge is a devoted family man with a beautiful wife and three children—two sons and a daughter. His eldest child currently pursues studies at Multimedia University.

Following his secondary education, Njoroge embarked on his theatrical journey to further develop his acting skills. However, the meager salary in the theater industry, amounting to Ksh. 300 per day, led him to explore alternative ventures. Recognizing the potential in selling sweets, Njoroge’s entrepreneurial spirit thrived as he earned Ksh. 2000 daily. He wisely invested his profits, eventually acquiring his own Matatu, where he took on the role of a tout.

The turning point in Njoroge’s career came when he joined Papa Shirandula, thanks to the influential role played by Charles Bukeko, famously known as the late Papa Shirandula. The collaboration marked a significant breakthrough, establishing Njoroge as a prominent figure in the acting industry and forming a close personal friendship with Bukeko.

Njoroge’s journey to becoming a millionaire is attributed to his disciplined savings habit since childhood. Leveraging his earnings from Papa Shirandula, he made prudent investments, particularly in real estate. Njoroge strategically purchased multiple pieces of land, notably in Mutalia along Kangundo Road, 42 kilometers from Nairobi city. Additionally, he diversified his portfolio by investing in rental properties.

Notably, Njoroge has further demonstrated his financial success by constructing a lavish residence in Kitengela, Kajiado county, where he engages in farming activities. His story serves as an inspiring testament to the transformative power of talent, hard work, and shrewd financial decision-making.
