  1. The Nyachae family was headed by the late Simeon Nyachae, a wealthy politician and businessman in the Kisii region. He served as a minister in the governments of Kenyatta and Moi, and had several companies both in Kenya and abroad. The family owns vast amounts of land, and he left behind a multi-billion empire upon his passing.
  2. Evans Nyang’au is the founder of Transline Classic, which began as a matatu business in 2006 with two Nissan vehicles named “Fagilia Kibati” and “Fagilia Prezzo”. After a few months of operation, Nyang’au converted his matatus into shuttles that plied the Kisii-Nairobi route, inspired by an in-law who launched the first Nissan shuttles to operate on the same route. He renamed his business to Transline and later partnered with a well-known Keroka businessman, “Toyota”. With the proceeds, he opened a shop that later grew into a wholesale outlet. He started his matatu business with a converted pickup truck and expanded to modern Nissan and Toyota matatus. He registered his matatus with Transline, but later branched out to establish Ena Coach in 2018.
