Naom Kemunto, a tenacious student hailing from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), recently commemorated her graduation after an extraordinary seven-year journey, where she worked in a tea plantation to overcome financial impediments and fund her education.

Originating from a modest background in Nyamira, Kemunto enrolled at JKUAT in 2017 with the ambition of obtaining a degree in Food Science and Nutrition. Her choice to share her inspiring journey on social media, particularly Twitter, reflects her gratitude and underscores the transformative power of education. In her post, she expressed, “Joined JKUAT in 2017 and left in 2023. Delay is not denial.”
