Buzeki Group of Companies is a leading transport and dairy products company founded by Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop, who is commonly known as Buzeki. Buzeki’s name is derived from his full name. He owns 100 pedigree cows on his Ainabkoi farm and is seeking political leadership to eradicate poverty in the region.
Buzeki’s success story is inspiring. He began as a milk hawker in Mombasa, riding a bicycle at night. He attributes his success to his single mother, who played a significant role in moulding his childhood. Buzeki rose to become the regional dairy sales manager for Kilifi Plantations between 1998 and 2000. He led an aggressive sales team and drove the company to profitability, cornering 80 percent of the milk market on the coast. He pioneered the introduction of Tuzo Milk and became the largest milk distributor in the Coast Province for Spin Knit Kenya Limited.
In 2004, Buzeki diversified into the transport business under Buzeki Enterprises Limited. He secured contracts with corporate institutions such as Bamburi Cement Ltd and UN-WFP. In May 2008, he launched Buzeki Dairy Limited, a processing and packaging division for dairy products. He acquired the first plant in Kilifi with a production output of 25,000 litres daily under the brand name New Kilifi Gold. In 2010, he acquired a second plant located in Mau Summit, Molo, with a production output of 80,000 litres per day under the brand name Molo Milk.
Buzeki sold his Molo Milk brand to Brookside Diaries, citing the right time to sell the company. However, he blames Uasin Gishu county politicians for denying locals the chance to own the company. Buzeki holds a higher international diploma in Sales and Marketing from Cambridge University and a degree in sales and marketing. He dismisses rumours of drug and alcohol abuse and being expelled from Mangu School, saying they are propaganda aimed at tarnishing his image.
Buzeki is a philanthropist who pays school fees for hundreds of children every year. He has built several churches and schools in every ward in Uasin Gishu. Buzeki is a strong candidate for political leadership in the region, and his success story is a testament to his determination and hard work.
