Kakamega residents have raised concerns as it emerged that patients are now sharing wards with dead bodies at the Butere Hospital.
A resident by the name Yusuf Manyasa from Shishebu village narrated his horrific experience at the hospital after he was admitted to the facility.
He said that he suffered from Mallaria and was admitted on October 3 only to find himself next to a dead human who was lying lifeless since October 2.
There is a body that has been decomposing in one of the male wards at Butere Sub-county hospital. The guy dies two days ago but is yet to be moved to the Mortuar
He posted.
According to reports reports there was another dead body of a young boy which had also not been moved to the morgue.
After the revelation, the hospital has since transferred the two bodies to the Kakamega County General Hospital.
