In Uganda’s Iganga district, a man has accomplished a remarkable feat by fighting and defeating a lion with nothing but his bare hands. The man reportedly encountered the wild animal outside his house in CMS, Iganga and, like Samson in the Bible, he engaged in a deadly battle with the lion and emerged as the victor.
The brave man sustained several injuries in the fight, and pictures of both the wounded man and the dead lion were shared on Twitter by user @Rickykagino96.
In other news, a Nigerian man leaving his home country has taken to social media to send a message to his “village people” – a term commonly used in Nigerian culture to refer to one’s extended family and community – that he has succeeded in his journey abroad.
The man shared a video of himself aboard an international flight, excitedly proclaiming that he is heading to Malaysia and will not be returning soon. He gave a brief tour of the plane’s interior to prove that he is indeed on an airplane and requested that his message be delivered to his “village people”.
