Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, is a Kenyan celebrity politician who has amassed a great deal of wealth. Initially, Jaguar gained fame as a musician with popular songs such as “Kigeugeu” and “Kipepeo.”
In 2017, he entered politics and won the Starehe constituency seat. Prior to his political career, Jaguar had already made a fortune as a musician, which allowed him to invest in two multimillion-shilling mansions.
One of his mansions is located in Greenpark Estate in Athi River, Machakos county. It is a four-bedroom villa that sits on a quarter-acre parcel of land and is valued at Ksh37.67 million. The villa features an open-plan kitchen with hardwood cabinets, 4 ensuite bedrooms, a family room upstairs, a spacious lounge with a fireplace, and a laundry area. It also has solar water heating, a 10,000-liter underground water tank, and a 7,500-liter rainwater collection tank. Additionally, the villa has a double servant quarter, covered and cabro-paved garage parking, and front and back gardens.
Jaguar’s other mansion is located in his rural home in Nyeri County. He reportedly spent Ksh9 million constructing the bungalow. In August 2021, the Starehe MP shared images of his rural mansion on social media, reminiscing about his humble beginnings and expressing gratitude for his success.
