Orange Democratic Movement Party Leader, Raila Odinga has come out alleging that he sacked DP Ruto as the Minister for Agriculture after claims that Ruto stole Maize.
Odinga said that he was the one who employed Ruto during the grand coalition government.
He added that he sacked William over massive theft before former president, Mwai Kibaki moved him to the Education Ministry.
“I employed Ruto as the minister for agriculture, but when he stole maize, I sacked him. It is the former president Kibaki who later appointed him as a minister for Higher Education,” Raila said.
Raila was speaking on Sunday, February 20, at Tononoka grounds, Mombasa where he said he was not and has never been a government project.
“I picked Musalia Mudavadi as my deputy, together with Uhuru Kenyatta. How can I be the state project again?” he posed.
Odinga also went on to woo area residents to vote him in with promises of a free port.
“The economic revolution will start here in Mombasa. Mombasa port will be a free port like Dubai. We will build a special economic zone,” he added.
