Kenyan content creator and media personality, Oga Obinna, has addressed the rumors surrounding his alleged romantic involvement with US-based influencer and Samidoh’s cousin, Bernice Saroni. The speculations arose when Saroni shared a photo on TikTok holding hands with an unidentified man.
The photo, posted a day ago, showed Saroni with her hand entwined with a man whose hand’s color, ring, and watch seemed to match Obinna’s, fueling the dating rumors. Notably, the ring and wristwatch in the picture were identical to those regularly worn by Obinna.
Additionally, Bernice Saroni and Obinna were captured singing along to Jay Melody’s romantic song ‘Nakupenda’ while spending quality time together in a car.
Responding to a post shared by Nairobi Gossip Club, Obinna refuted the claims, stating, “Enyewe vitu hufanana” (Indeed, things can be deceiving). He dismissed the notion that the hand in the photo belonged to him, attributing the resemblance to impostors attempting to emulate his style and swag. He urged those propagating the rumors to desist from such habits.
In a follow-up statement, Obinna expressed frustration, saying, “Ati Pete na Saa Imedo?🥱🙈. I know there are imposters out there trying to copy my style and swag. Guys, stop. Yaani mtu ametafuta Pete na watch hadi mkono ametafuta yenye inafanana na yangu surely…guys stop it.😤.”
Regarding the dating speculations, Obinna maintained that time would reveal the truth about their relationship, emphasizing that they may or may not be dating.
A few weeks earlier, Bernice appeared on Obinna’s live show, and their fans praised them, suggesting that they made a good couple. The flirtatious banter between Obinna and Bernice was evident during an interview on Obinna’s YouTube channel, where she jokingly asked him to propose, leading to Obinna blushing.
In an interview with Trudy Kitui, Oga Obinna complimented Bernice Saroni, describing her as a complete package. He expressed confidence in their compatibility, highlighting their stability and the fact that they each have four children. However, he refrained from divulging the current nature of their relationship.
