Kisii Gospel Musician Embarambamba Stranded in Nairobi, Fails to Raise 3K Fare Back to Kisii After Several Shows

Duke Mainga, who chairs the Board of Trustees at the Commodities Fund, recently extended a helping hand to the renowned musician Chris Mosioma, popularly known as Embarambamba, amidst a challenging situation.

Embarambamba, hailing from Kisii, openly discussed his current struggles, highlighting his inability to cover fuel costs for his motorcycle to journey back home following performances in Nairobi.

Mainga, also recognized by the alias Echate, took to social media to address this matter, expressing genuine concern for Embarambamba’s plight. He recounted the artist’s visit to his office, where Embarambamba lamented being stranded in Nairobi due to insufficient funds to fuel his motorcycle for the return trip to Kisii.

Expressing dismay, Mainga remarked, “It’s disheartening to witness a prominent artist like Embarambamba still relying on a motorcycle for long-distance travel, struggling to afford even a modest sum of 3,000 shillings for fuel. This situation is deeply troubling.”

He stressed the urgency of discontinuing the exploitation of artists and advocated for swift action to address Embarambamba’s predicament effectively.

“Let’s put an end to the exploitation of our artists. Furthermore, it’s imperative to implement proper management practices to support him,” emphasized Mainga.
