Deputy President William Ruto is currently headed to Nyanza in the wake of vanquishing President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kiambaa.
This was revealed by Criminal Lawyer Cliff Ombeta, who noted that the DP is set to set up shelter in Raila Odinga’s stronghold to consolidate support ahead of the 2022 elections.
Venting on social media platform, Ombeta reported that Ruto and his UDA Party will hit the road soon after a public outcry from their supporters in Migori County.
Ruto anticipates making major in-roads in places apparent to be Raila Odinga’s and President Kenyatta’s strongholds.
Last week, Ruto’s UDA embarrassed Uhuru in his Kiambaa backyard only months after humilating him in Juja.
The DP, who is as of now holding meetings in the Coastal region, is then set to move his political activities toward the Western region, focusing on Raila’s strongholds and Migori is his next port of call.
Ruto is hoping to exploit troubled Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s conflict with his party chief, Raila Odinga, to bend his niche in the lakeside district.
