Former news anchor Betty Kyallo once again found herself facing criticism from netizens, this time due to a video that surfaced online from a golf tournament organized by Trans Nzoia senator Allan Chesang.
In the video, Betty addressed the crowd, who seemed uninterested, yet she persisted in delivering her message. Despite the audience’s reluctance, she expressed her gratitude for being in Trans Nzoia and thanked Allan Chesang for the invitation. However, she faced resistance from the youths in attendance.
“Weuweeh, maboyz tulieni, nimefurahi sana kuwa hapa leo, sikizeni si msikize hamsikizangi ndio maana tunabreak up. Kwa hivyo nimefurahi sana kuwa hapa Trans Nzoia. Thanks so much Allan Chesang for inviting me. Huyu ni beshte yangu, huyu ni boyz manze. Wacha niwaambie kitu moja nataka msikize tu,” Betty said as she encountered challenges from the audience.
Chesang stepped in to calm the crowd, allowing Betty to continue her speech. She addressed the youth, emphasizing the importance of talent and shared her personal journey from talking to a mirror at home to becoming the best news anchor in the country.
However, netizens observed a change in Betty’s demeanor, with some suggesting that she appeared intoxicated. Concerns were also raised about Chesang’s apparent unease, seemingly caught off guard by Betty’s statements.
