Kiambu-based journalists were assaulted in Kabete consistency by a landlord and his family after their five-story building collapsed.
The said incident left one piece of the structure hanging thus jeopardizing the onlookers and his neighbors.
The media personnel, who were on field filming the whole ordeal, were drawn closer by the family who lashed out at them.
They demanded the journalist to leave the premises and attempted to snatch part of their equipment’s but the scribes however got into a scuffle with them.
The family proceeded to land heavy blows on the journalists who tried to scamper for safety.
Fortunately, police officers rushed in to calm the situation.
“Why are they attacking us?” one journalist could be heard asking.
Journalists have been forced to bear assaults in the past while doing field assignments in the country.
