Through an explanation dated Thursday, June 2, Kirumba declared she quitting the Mediamax Ltd claimed station after serving for over 10 years.
Declaring her departure, Kirumba appreciated her audience informing them that the time had come to call it quits after gracing the airwaves hosting different shows.
Nonetheless, Kirumba didn’t reveal her next move.
“It’s been good working with Kameme FM for 12 good years of laughter and love. Thanks to my listeners.
“It’s time to say goodbye,” Kirumba stated.
The radio girl began by facilitating an afternoon show before being moved to her current mid-morning programme in 2016.
Kirumba was hosting the morning show alongside comedian Kihenjo, a show that had a huge following.
Prior to joining Kameme FM, she had a short spell at Bahasha FM, supposedly owned by former MP John Mututho.
At the station, she was suspended following a fierce quarrel with her co-host, Keziah wa Kariuki.
She had confronted Keziah during one of the show’s breaks however got an impolite shock when the co-host scorned her.
“When we went on air, I noticed that she was sneering at me. I hate gossip and so I confronted her about it and she shrugged it off. As the music ended, I slapped her,” Muthoni stated during a past interview.
Njogu Wachira, who was her manager at that point, suspended the two moderators however the assailant got a heavier discipline. She was suspended for quite some time.
