Kenyan social media users have expressed their displeasure towards Andrew Kibe, a former radio host for NRG Radio and Kiss FM, after a video clip of him and his girlfriend in the United States was shared online.
Kibe had left his radio hosting job in 2020 for reasons that were not clear and relocated to the US in search of better opportunities. He had cited low wages in the radio industry as a reason for his departure, stating that he needed a higher income to meet his financial needs.
While living in the US, Kibe created a personal podcast on his YouTube channel under the name “Mr. Lambistic.” He frequently shares his controversial opinions on public figures and celebrities.
However, a recent video of Kibe and a woman enjoying themselves while shopping has caused a strong reaction from Kenyan social media users. One fan commented on the video, stating that “Huyo mumama ndio ameweka Kibe” (meaning that Kibe’s girlfriend was the reason for his relocation and change of career).
