Gideon Finally Chooses Preferred Raila Running Mate Between Kenneth, Karua & Kalonzo, Kenyans React

The party leader of Kenya’s independence party KANU Mr Gideon Moi who is also the Baringo county senator has been touted many times as a possible running mate to ODM party leader Raila Odinga with his name coming out predominantly in the last few weeks.

However, Gideon Moi has officially withdrawn from any consideration to be running mate for Raila Odinga as previously reported in some quarters and announced his preferred Raila deputy amidst stiff competition between Martha Karua of NARC, Peter Kenneth and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

In a statement, Gideon says that former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka is more experienced than all his competitors including Martha Karua, Peter Kenneth and all others who had been previously mentioned and that he is the right person to deputize Raila Odinga.

Moi made the revelations through a letter to the Raila Odinga running mate selection panel that is chaired by former Kwanza MP Hon Noah Wekesa.

“It is our sincere hope that this panel will consider and find him appropriate for the position of the Deputy President and consequently recommend his selection,” he argued.

The announcement has attracted a lot of reactions from Kenyans.
