All Schools in kenya To Be Re-Opened On Monday, President Ruto Announces

President William Ruto has issued a directive mandating the reopening of all schools on Monday, May 13, 2024. This decision stems from improved weather forecasts indicating a decrease in heavy rainfall, which had previously necessitated delays in school reopening.

Concurrently, President Ruto has instructed that funds be allocated via the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) for the repair of school infrastructure damaged by severe weather conditions.

Originally scheduled for April 29, 2024, the reopening of schools was postponed to May 6, 2024, due to extensive rainfall causing delays.

However, President William Ruto subsequently directed the Ministry of Education to indefinitely postpone the reopening of all schools last Friday, in response to the flooding crisis triggered by the persistent rains.
