There was a frenzy in Mukuyu market, Murang’a County as traders stumbled upon a pistol that had been dropped on the ground.
The pistol, a Ceaska with 15 rounds of ammunition was found by traders on Wednesday morning.
It is reported that the gun might have been dropped off at night seeing that it had mud on it.
The traders are now calling on to the authorities to act in haste seeing that the gun might have been in the hands of thieves in a mission.
Confirming the incident, Murang’a East OCPD, William Kiambi stated that investigations are currently underway.
He however said that the traders and residents should not live in fear as they have already circulated the serial number of the gun to the security networks.
