It is reported that the thieves broke into Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Kiambu and made away with the 500kg church bell made of copper.
James Warari, the church’s Organizing Secretary speaking to reporters said that they reported the robbery to Ngecha Police Station.
How the thieves managed to get away with the super heavy bell still remains a mystery to Ngecha residents.The bell would require atleast 10 men to lift it up.
It is also reported that the same robbers had broken into the same church two weeks ago and made away with the church’s sound system and the holy wine.
Area police have launched investigations to the incident and are following on leads to apprehend the thugs.
Meanwhile, the body of Elijah Obuong, one of the 4 missing men from Kitengela has been found in Murang’a County.
