Popular Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati has been trending online after he was forced to begin shaving off his signature dreadlocks, which he has kept for the past 10 years. This came after he publicly declared that he would cut them off if Arsenal were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Unfortunately for Bahati, Arsenal lost 2-1 in the second leg, with an aggregate score of 3-1 in favor of PSG. True to his word, he began the process of honoring his promise — but not without drama.
In a viral video making rounds online, Bahati is seen pleading with his wife, Diana Marua, and a group of their workers who were determined to enforce the bet. Despite his resistance, they pinned him down, tore his Arsenal jersey, and Diana managed to cut off one of his dreadlocks as he screamed in protest.
Although the group was laughing throughout the incident, they stopped short of cutting all his hair. Bahati pleaded with them to let him go to a professional barber to finish the job, assuring them and his fans that he would keep his word.
Fans are now eagerly waiting for the final reveal — Bahati without his trademark dreadlocks.
