DJ Krowbar Raises Ksh 3 Million Out of 6 Million asked For Wife’s Kidney Transplant

Kenyan entertainer Fredrick Karumba, also known as DJ Krowbar, recently shared that he has successfully raised Ksh 3 million out of the required Ksh 6 million for his wife’s critical kidney transplant. DJ Krowbar had made a heartfelt appeal on social media platforms to gather the necessary funds for his wife, Joy Wanjiru Karumba, who urgently requires a kidney transplant.

Joy, a mother of three, received a devastating diagnosis of acute kidney injury two years ago, leading to her dependence on dialysis ever since. Reflecting on the moment they first heard the news, DJ Krowbar shared his emotional journey, stating, “It was in April last year on a Sunday. She wasn’t feeling well, so I encouraged her to seek medical attention while I stayed with our children. I was later summoned to the hospital, and upon my arrival, the doctor informed me that her kidney failure was a result of high blood pressure.”

“The first time she was put on the machine, I tried to hold back my emotions, but I eventually found myself alone in a restroom, shedding tears. I couldn’t fathom the gravity of what I had witnessed, especially seeing my wife in distress.”

In a recent interview on NTV, Joy and DJ Krowbar expressed their initial disbelief upon receiving the doctor’s diagnosis. Joy prayed for strength from God to continue pursuing her passion for fashion despite the challenging circumstances.

For those willing to contribute towards reaching their target of Ksh 6 million, they can send their donations to the following account: 4116415, with the account number designated as 3. Your support will make a significant difference in Joy’s journey toward a life-saving kidney transplant.
