The MP said Raila was enough to bid in the Mount Kenya, even without the assistance of Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kimunya added leaders who support Raila in the region, are there to acclaim him while Uhuru is focused on establishing a better climate for the next general elections.
Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya has excused the idea that President Uhuru Kenyatta ought to preside over Raila Odinga’s presidential campaibn to win votes in the Mount Kenya.
During an interview with NTV station on Tuesday, May 3, Kimunya said he did not want to hear the idea of asking President Uhuru Kenyatta to campaign for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.
“I can’t even imagine telling Uhuru to campaign for Raila so that he can be popular in the area because Raila can make a name for himself,” the MP added.
kimunya further asserted Uhuru doesn’t have to lobby for Raila, on the grounds that the ODM pioneer can do it without anyone else’s help as he is well known among localas in Mt Kenya.
“And we ourselves are there. We are there to support Baba and we are many i would not even think of Uhuru coming to Mt Kenya to make Raila famous. Raila is already popular in Mt Kenya”. Kimunya.
