A 23-year-old farmer from Kericho county has become the latest winner of the Betika mega jackpot, which is worth KES 200 million.
Moses Kiprono, who cleared high school in 2021, said he was overjoyed and overwhelmed by his fortune, which he said would change his life and that of his family.
Kiprono said he has been the breadwinner of his family after his father abandoned them.
“I am very happy, I am very excited,” Kiprono said.
After accurately predicting the results of all 17 games, Kiprono becomes the second winner of the Betika mega jackpot.
Since a 20% withholding tax will be applied to the jackpot amount, Kiprono is expected to get KES 160 million.
The first jackpot winner was 22-year-old Eli Kipruto Rotich, who won in December 2022.
