The German-based TikToker, Pilot Nyako, recently generated a buzz online by sharing the challenges she has been facing. As one of the most talented TikTokers in Kenya, Nyako reached out to her followers, seeking their support.
During a live session, Nyako revealed that all her accounts had been frozen, leaving her unable to access her funds. She explained that deductions had been made from her accounts to repay individuals who had generously contributed to her charity endeavors.
Expressing evident stress and emotion, Nyako disclosed that a fellow TikToker named Absolute had filed a complaint against her. Allegedly, Nyako was instructed to refund the substantial amount of money Absolute had sent her for charitable purposes. Her PayPal account, containing 1,500 Euros (equivalent to approximately Ksh.160,000), was frozen, and the funds were returned. PayPal further demanded that she pay an additional 900 Euros to Absolute.
Nyako shared the additional setback of not receiving any financial support from the government, as she had been reported to the authorities by someone else. Faced with the need to sustain herself and cover her house rent, Nyako appealed to her fans for assistance. She expressed gratitude for any support received and assured her followers that, once stabilized, she would actively seek employment to secure her financial independence. Nyako emphasized the importance of not solely relying on TikTok for her livelihood.
