Award-winning singer Esther Akoth, better known as Akothee, is a proud parent following her daughter Fancy Makadia’s graduation in France. Fancy graduated from IES Business School in Paris with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism & Hotel Management. Akothee shared the good news on her social media accounts, congratulating her daughter on the achievement.
In May 2019, Akothee revealed that she had enrolled Fancy in one of the most expensive universities in Paris, France. Fancy previously attended Braeburn Mombasa, one of the top schools in Kenya, for her O-level studies.
Akothee traveled to France to attend Fancy’s graduation, accompanied by her other children and her partner Dennis Omondi. The singer shared her pride in her daughter’s accomplishment, adding that Fancy had already secured a job and was pursuing her Masters degree.
Akothee also reflected on the challenges she faced raising her children, including the impact of her divorce on Fancy. The singer recounted how she had to lie to her daughter about her father’s absence, pretending to call him when he had moved on with another family. Akothee eventually found a partner who embraced her children, with Fancy finding a father figure in Dominique Wuon Oyoo.
Despite the difficulties, Akothee expressed her joy in seeing her children thrive and achieve their goals.
