According to police at Kesumet village, Baringo County, they rescued the two infants who were dumped in a pit Latrine by their mother.
“The detectives hastly demolished the pit thinking that the babies were already dead but miraculously, one of them was still alive,” Area assistant chief, Joshua Kiptosok said.
“The babies were covered by human waste and it’s only by a miracle that one of them survived,”
The infant who survived was referred to Baringo county referral hospital for immediate treatment.
Sadly, the other baby was pronounced dead at the Barta Wa Health Clinic in Baringo.
Detectives have since arrested the minor who will be charged
