Kiambu murder suspect Lawrence Warunge has been threatening to kill the rest of his family members if released. His family told this to the court in writing.
Warunge is still in remand at Kamiti maximum prison after a mental assessment test at Kamiti maximum prison proved that he was not fit to stand trial.
He had earlier confessed that he also wanted to kill his two sisters but they got saved by the fact that they were still in school during the time of the murder.
Warunge commited the murder that shook the whole country in January 2021. He killed five people who included his two parents, sibling, a relative and a farm hand.
He had a struggling relationship with his parents and even used to live in the servants quarters.
While being interrogated, he confessed that he was inspired by a serial killer series.
He was only 23 years old at the time of the murder.
