A Kiambaa voter has moved to court challenging United Democratic Alliance’s (UDA) victory in the July 15, mini polls.
The voter identified as George Thata Ndia moved to court to challenge the results where John Njuguna Wanjiku emerged the winner trouncing Jubilee’s Kariri Njama.
Through his lawyer, Njoki Mboce & Co. Advocates who filed the application at Kiambu High Court, Thata claimed that there were lots of election malpractices.
“Petitioner contends that the massive electoral malpractices and irregularities in specific polling stations set out in paragraph 7 hereto substantially affected the outcome of the impugned Kiambaa MNA by-elections that led to the Applicant/ Petitioner’s being rigged out in favour of the 3rd Respondent,” Njama argues in his petition.
Ndia also wants access to copy of the IEBC servers and KIEMS kit which were used in Kiambaa arguing that the Electoral Body has failed to avail the entire set of Forms 35A.
