The story of Mr and Mrs Sape, a couple who are both hearing-impaired, was shared on the Valentine’s Day episode of NewsDay. During the interview with TV3’s Berla Mundi, Mr Sape revealed that they met at their church and became attracted to each other. Despite their hearing impairment, they were able to communicate and build a relationship.
Mr Sape expressed how he complimented his now-wife’s beauty when they first met and started a conversation that led to night calls. After a while, they decided to take their relationship to the next level and got married. The couple has been happily married for four years.
Mrs Sape also shared her side of the story, how she met her husband and fell in love with him. Their love story is a testament to the fact that love knows no boundaries and that communication can happen in different ways. Despite their hearing impairment, the Sapes were able to find love and happiness in each other.
