The man made his confession during a segment called “Toboa siri” (reveal your secrets) on the popular Kenyan radio station, Radio Jambo. The segment, which is part of the reggae show hosted by Mbusii and Lion, provides Kenyans with an opportunity to share their burning secrets or issues.
During his call to the radio station, the 27-year-old man from Kisii explained how he had developed a fear of HIV and AIDS after discovering that his favorite uncle had died from the disease. As a result of this fear, he had developed a negative mindset about women and having sex with them, and found it difficult to abstain from sexual activity.
To satisfy his sexual urges without risking HIV, the man had developed a unique way of gratifying himself. He had drilled a hole into a banana tree and would insert his penis into the tree to satisfy his desires. He claimed that he was very comfortable with this arrangement and felt it was much safer than engaging in sexual activity with women.
Despite his parents’ pressure to get married, the man had no interest in women and was content with his relationship with the banana tree. His confession has sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans, with some expressing shock and disbelief, while others found the situation humorous.
