Sherry Rose, the CEO of Shoe Hub, is a remarkable young entrepreneur and businesswoman in Kenya. Her business is primarily an online shoe collection store, but also has physical stores situated in the Nairobi Central Business District.
In an interview with 2mbili Tv, Sherry Rose spoke about the difficulties she encountered while building her successful brand. She persevered through thick and thin to make Shoe Hub a household name in Kenya.
Initially, Sherry Rose started the business with just a single picture of a shoe shared on her social media accounts. She acted as a broker to find potential customers and saved the profits earned from the sales. This process became habitual for her until she decided to start her own shoe collection shop.
After acquiring all the necessary documentation, Sherry Rose began importing shoes in bulk from abroad and sometimes from middlemen. With time, Shoe Hub’s reputation grew as people began to trust the brand.
Currently, the business is worth millions of dollars, and Sherry Rose has shifted her focus to wholesale selling. This means that most retailers and wholesalers buy shoes in bulk from Shoe Hub.
On a typical day, Shoe Hub can sell up to 40 pairs of shoes, which amounts to Ksh. 100,000 per day. The majority of the shoes cost above Ksh. 3000.
Sherry Rose urged young people never to give up and always remain focused on trying out things that they feel will work well for them.
