POLL: Ruto Leads 71% in Murang’a County. Raila a Distant Third

The notion is on the rise that the Mt. Kenya region has no formidable candidate for President next year.

Accordingly, the region is expected to mark its time, and rally behind an outsider who means well. Both the super-rich in the Mt Kenya Foundation (MKF) and those who wear the Hustler Nation garb seem to be agreed on one thing. They will rally around an outsider next year.

This is as the battle to control and woo Mount Kenya voters continues as the 2022 General Election nears with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is set to face off Deputy President William Ruto who recently claimed that Mt Kenya is his stronghold.

Now with increase with opinion polls between the two political bigwigs, Irungu Nyakera has released another presidential poll in the Murang’a county.

According to the poll, DP Ruto leads with 71.46% while his close opponent Gov. Mwangi wa Iria has 8.76% and raila Odinga has 8.32%.

On the fourth spot is Musalia Mudavadi has 2.49% and his Wiper counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka has only 1.41%.

This seems odd as Raila is just behind Wa Iria who has not ‘appeared’ anywhere in opinion polls.

The opinion poll has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans on social media given the fact it has placed wa Iria ahead of Raila.
