Actress Catherine Kamau, popularly known as Kate actress, has addressed accusations of copying former radio host and influencer Ronoh Chebet’s content. Ronoh had gone on an online rant, claiming that Kate and US-based Kenyan comedian Elsa Majimbo were emulating her style.
Specifically, Ronoh accused Kate of copying her Rich Aunty character, which she had created 15 weeks prior to Kate’s version, which was introduced just nine weeks ago. In one video, Ronoh called out Kate and accused her of stalking her page despite being married.
In response, Kate calmly expressed her admiration for Ronoh and her character. She stated that she loved the aunty debs character and that she and her fans celebrate Ronoh’s consistent content creation. Kate’s followers also came to her defense, asserting that she is the real rich aunty.
Overall, despite the accusations, Kate and her fans maintain their admiration and respect for Ronoh and her work.
