Nairobi’s Dandora Stadium set to host the FKF Cup Quarterfinals over the weekend

The anticipated return of the FKF Cup is upon us, with the quarterfinal stage slated for April 30th and 31st, 2024, to take place at Dandora Stadium.

Kicking off the doubleheader action on Saturday at noon is the clash between KCB and Kakamega Homeboyz, followed by Kenya Police facing off against Sofapaka at 3 pm.

Sofapaka’s journey in the tournament has been marked by nail-biting encounters, including two penalty shootouts against Silibwet and Bungoma Stars. On the other hand, Kenya Police secured victories against Posta Rangers and Mombasa Stars. Notably, these two teams locked horns recently in their FKFPL round 27 match, where Kenya Police mounted a comeback to clinch a 2-1 victory.

Sunday sees SS Assad, a formidable FKF National Super League side, taking on Kariobangi Sharks, while AFC Leopards will battle it out against FKF division one side Compel.

SS Assad booked their spot in the quarters with a thrilling victory over Denmark FC in a local derby that went down to post-match penalties. Meanwhile, AFC Leopards faced a tough challenge from Shabana, managing to secure victory with a lone goal from Kayci Odhiambo.

The stakes are high as teams not only vie for the prestigious FKF Cup and the Ksh 2 Million cash prize but also for the chance to represent the nation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
