Former Inspector Mwala actor, Tony Sherman, has reached out for assistance after facing prolonged financial difficulties.
During an interview with 2mbili TV, Tony openly discussed his ongoing struggles, describing how life has become a daily challenge in the midst of Kenya’s current economic conditions.
Tony disclosed his involvement in various TV programs, including appearances on Maisha Magic and Shomax. Despite his recognition from Inspector Mwala, he clarified that his compensation was not as substantial as assumed. He transitioned to Ebru TV, taking on a role in the Kortini show as the DCI, but the remuneration was meager—merely Ksh 2,000 per month.
This inadequate income proved insufficient to cover his basic needs. Residing in a Kangemi residence with a monthly rent of Ksh 3,000, his earnings couldn’t cover the rent, pushing him into a situation where he was living beyond his means.
The demands of his work were draining, while the compensation was disheartening. In response, he made the tough decision to depart from acting at the outset of 2023. Tony’s personal struggles have been ongoing, having reached a point where he couldn’t afford rent and struggled to provide for himself.
“I am currently enduring immense hardship, where even basic sustenance is a challenge,” Tony expressed, conveying the severity of his circumstances.
Despite his popularity, Tony finds himself trapped in a difficult financial position. Crippled by debt, he holds onto a fervent hope that his admirers might offer assistance, either by providing him with employment opportunities or any form of support.
