“Mimi Ni Mtoto Mdogo” Samidoh Refuses To Be Called “Mubaba Wa Karen Na Eddy” Nickname

Samidoh, the talented Mugithi musician, has recently voiced his discontent with being labeled as an older gentleman. He strongly believes that such characterizations, like being referred to as “Mubaba wa Karenzo na Eddy,” do not accurately represent his youthful spirit.

Expressing his confusion, Samidoh questions why he is being associated with older generations through these nicknames. He finds it puzzling and wonders why he is being assigned labels that imply a mature and elderly persona, which he believes is not in line with his vibrant energy and creative essence.

In one of his statements, Samidoh shares his frustration, asking, “Mimi mtoto mdogo tu, one-man guitar, nimefika miaka ya kuitwa mbabaz?” This translates to, “I’m just a young kid, a one-man guitar, why am I being called ‘mbabaz’ at my age?”

Samidoh has gained significant recognition for his exceptional guitar skills and soulful voice, captivating the hearts of music lovers both in Kenya and beyond. His dynamic performances and unique fusion of Mugithi, Benga, and other genres have solidified his position as a prominent figure in the music industry.

It is worth noting that Karen Nyamu, through her social media videos, has been employing the nickname “Mbabaz” to refer to Samidoh.
