MC Gogo: I’m Famous But I Still Use Matatus.

MC Gogo, also known as Franklin Gogo, is a renowned MC and events host in Kenya, particularly excelling in club events and weddings. He has gained significant popularity over the past two years, with his brand soaring to new heights.

Gogo’s journey to success began during the COVID-19 pandemic when he and his crew entertained people through Facebook Live sessions during the lockdown period. After restrictions were lifted, he started receiving bookings and his life took a turn for the better. Despite his superstar status, Gogo remains down-to-earth and humble. He revealed that he still uses public transportation, such as matatus and bodabodas, and enjoys interacting with people from all walks of life.

During an interview with Tuko Extra, Gogo emphasized that he is just like any other person and that his only difference is his fame. He expressed that building a trusted brand has not been easy, with some promoters refusing to pay him and his crew. However, he remains optimistic about the future and is grateful for the support of his fans from Kenya and around the world.

Gogo holds a degree in psychology and was raised by a single mother after his father passed away when he was young. He is determined to continue growing his brand and hopes to accumulate enough funds to purchase a new car by 2023.
