A coffin that is said to have been used to bury a child in Kisii has been found at a river Bank with the body missing.
Resident of Gionseri area who found the coffin could not hide their fear stating that witches stole the body for rituals.
It is believed that the body was exhumed by witches from the area.
Speaking to reporters, a resident identified ass Samuel said that such cases are on the rise in Gionseri and larger Boobasi area.
“This happened at midnight. The witches have been exhuming bodies for ritual. We have tried to track them to no avail but with time, we will catch them in action,” he said.
Samuel also noted that the witches have been causing havoc in Gionseri area making it their safe haven for their devilish acts.
Matters witchcraft are rampant in Gusii land and according to residents, the kid’s body might have been eaten by the night crawlers.
