Just In: Nakuru Town West MP Is Jailed For 6 Months By Court

Nakuru Town west constituency member of the national assembly Hon Samuel Arama has landed in trouble after an unfavorable ruling against him by a kenyan court.

The second term member of the national assembly who is defending his seat on the ruling Jubilee party ticket amidst a strong united democratic alliance wave has been found guilty of fraud.

The court has ruled that he will be cooling his heels in prison for the next six months due to his crime. However, he has also been handed an alternative of paying a cash bail of Kshs 1.5Million if he doesn’t want to serve the six months sentence.

“NAKURU Town West MP Arama (Samuel) jailed for six months after being found guilty of fraud; given alternative Sh1.5mn fine,” Citizen TV reported.

The ruling against the MP comes even as he prepares to campaign for a third term in office in the cosmopolitan Nakuru West constituency which was curved out of Nakuru township constituency and he is the pioneer MP as the constituency was established in 2013.
