Raila’s wingman, James Orengo was forced to flee from a meeting in Siaya after the gathering turned chaotic.
In the video that has since gone viral, angry youths armed with crude weapons destroyed chairs as they chased Orengo and his team away.
Though it is not yet knnow what led to the confrontation, it is said that the rivalry between two Siaya heavy weight politicians who had attended the meeting was the cause after they failed to come into an amicable decision.
The bodyguards were forced to shoot several times in the air to prevent the youths who were baying for Orengo’s blood.
Meanwhile, Murang’a Senator, Irungu Kang’ata has continued with his bid to push for changes in the BBI document.
“Parliament should look at the BBI document and make changes that are necessary,” he said.
However, his remarks were met by criticism by John Mbadi who said that changes in the document would be a betrayal to Kenyans.
“If you change the document that was passed by Kenyans, you have conned them.”
