Residents of Shinyalu village Kakamega were met with a rude shock after a grandmother attached her grandchild with a machete in Kakamega over a piece of Ugali.
It is reported that the grandmother found the boy playing Wirth his friends on Thursday evening and offered him a plate of Ugali.
After waking up sober, she realized that her Ugali was missing and went crazy, attacking the young boy with a matchete.
“My child came running to me in the house crying. He said that his grandmother wanted to attack him using a machete, and he was already bleeding on his head,” the boy’s mother said.
The boy’s mother filed a report at the police station adding that she has had differences with the mother in law.She also claimed that the oold lady has been scheming to chase her from her husband’s home.
“We have not been living amicably with my mother-in-law. Whenever my husband is away on work trips especially in Nairobi, she tries to kick me out of here. I have only lasted here for about one month now because of our wrangles,” she stated.
