‘I have received 6M from Kenyans,’ Morara speaks on his presidential ambition come 2027

Political activist Morara Kebaso, who has expressed confidence in his ability to unseat President William Ruto in the 2027 elections, reveals that his supporters have already contributed Ksh.6 million toward his campaign.

Morara, who gained significant attention in 2024 for mimicking President Ruto’s speeches and political style while wearing the iconic Kaunda suits, believes he is well-equipped to succeed the current Head of State.

Drawing comparisons to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, Morara dismisses concerns from critics who have questioned his request for financial backing from Kenyans to fund his activism. He points out that despite Trump’s status as a billionaire, he allegedly did not invest any personal wealth into his campaign, relying instead on the support of well-wishers.

Similarly, Morara emphasizes that his nationwide tours, aimed at highlighting the government’s shortcomings in service delivery, have been made possible through donations from Kenyans who support his cause.

Morara’s political philosophy centers on eliminating corruption, and he asserts that leaders should be financially supported by the people to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.
