“I just want Uhuru to vote for me, I will handle the rest”- Raila Says.

Former Prime Minister and ODM Party leader, Raila Odinga has dismissed those saying that he wants an endorsement by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Odinga who was speaking to a local radio station today, Thursday 8, July, said that he is only interested in Uhuru voting for him during the upcoming 2022 General Elections.

“I don’t need anyone’s endorsement because I have never done so in my political career. My political career has been characterized by service delivery to the people and not an endorsement,” he said in the interview.

“I don’t need Uhuru’s endorsement. But I will ask for Uhuru’s vote if I ran for the presidency in the forthcoming General Elections,” he added.

“We are still working on the BBI because we want to unite the nation and better the lives of Kenyans. When the right time comes, I will decide if I will contest for the presidential seat because that is my right and nobody can stop me from doing so,” he said.

Raila also went on to dismiss Deputy President over his remarks that he (Ruto) was the one who helped him to get the Prime Minister’s seat.
